Matt recently introduced on WordPress.com a simple Twitter like theme called Prologue, and judging from the reception from WordPress users this theme seems to be a hit.
In Prologue each message can have comments (just like a blog post in regular Wordpress) and of course each comments thread has its own RSS feed.
Basically how it works is when someone has the ability to post to a blog they see a short form at the top of the home page with a post box and tags. There they can post short messages about what they’re doing. Below the posting box is a list of everyone’s latest tweet or message, with their Gravatar next to it.
Some Features:
* Post new entries right at the top of the page (assuming you are logged in and are allowed to post new entries to the blog)
* Front page shows the most recent post from every user on the blog
* The tags on the sidebar are sorted by most recently used
* All the other stuff in a typical WordPress theme: tag, author and single post pages
You will noticed that you would have to download each php file by itself as the guys at Automattic didn’t place in in a zip file, however you can download the Prologue theme zip file from sizlopedia.com
