The Box is a magazine style WordPress theme that works straight out of “the box” with minimal or no configuration. The only thing you are required to do is create a new category called “Featured” if you do not already have one and you are set. No plugins, no custom fields, no pulling the rabbit from the hat, just plan ol upload and activate. The theme is semi-grid 2/3 column layout with featured post, dropdown menus, JS tabber like interface, widgets, SEO corrected and Adsense styled. Content area is over 500px wide, both right sidebars are 180px wide, perfect proportions for images and Google Adsense alike. The work is by Headsetoptions and Mandarinmusing based on a template by Igor Jovi. Best of all, this theme is made available free of charge, so grab it before they change their mind!

Sharpfolio by Matt of WebRevolutionary is a simple yet classy portfolio WordPress theme. This dark minimal theme is designed with your work or portfolio in mind, which means, there are no eye catching headers or imagery, no bright fonts, just superbly fashionable design and clean code. Since this is a portfolio site, the sidebar is kept simple, you must manually add or edit you address. Remember, this is not your average blog theme. As for content management, adding your recent work, links or notes is as simple as adding content in categories called Recent Works, Links and Notes. Simplicity is what makes this theme such a hit.
